This site is a tribute to John Drew formerly of Viney Hill,  who passed away at Sydenham House Residential Home on 20th February aged 91 years. Beloved Husband of the late Marguerite, much loved Dad of Sue & Geoffrey and treasured Grandad of Moreton & Hayley and Louise & Matthew. John will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

John's funeral service took place at All Saints’ Church, Viney Hill on Monday 18^th March with Reverend Fred Long officiating and Reverend Brian Brobyn assisting. On entry to the church, a recording of ‘In the mood’ by Glen Miller was played. The hymns ‘Jerusalem’ ‘Guide me O thou great Redeemer’ and ‘I vow to three my country’ were accompanied by the organist, Rosemarie Lewis. The Reading Ecclesiastes 3 1-8 was read by Reverend Brian Brobyn and The Tribute was given by Reverend Fred Long. The recessional music was ‘here comes the sun’ as recorded by The Beatles.

The service was followed by interment at Blakeney Cemetery.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Ernest Heal & Sons, 5 South Road, Broadwell, Gloucestershire, who are collecting donations for Blakeney Youth Club which would be sincerely appreciated.
